Pavlova made easy

When you are in the mood for pavlova but not in the mood to do ALL THAT WORK.. here's an easy recipe that will have you enjoying your pavlova within minutes.

1 Packet of ready made Meringues
250ml fresh cream
1 can of fruit salad or you can add fruits of your choice
1 flake chocolate

Whip the cream until stiff peaks are formed... please not until its butter.  Break the meringues into pieces not to small and blend into the cream.  If you are using canned fruit then drain before adding fruit to cream mix.  Dish out and add a bit of broken flake over each bowl of dessert...

My first blog

Hi all.

This is my first blog.  I'm taking this on as I need to "advertise" more about my catering business.  It's a small just started self owned part time business but I need and want to make it more.  I might not have colledge qualifications for this but I do however have a passion for baking/cooking.

I've taking some pics of some of the things that I've made but it's taken with a phone camera so it's not that professional so please be patient with my photo's.

My first recipe is a very simple easy rice pudding, I don't have a picture but I do recommend it as it's light, delicious and very easy to make.

Easy Peasy Rice Pudding:

You'll need:
1 cup Cooked Rice
2 cups Milk
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs (separated and egg whites beaten)
1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla Essence

What you need to do:
Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees celcius.  Heat the milk on the stove top, when boiling add the rice.  Switch off stove and remove pot.  Mix together egg yellows, sugar and vanilla essence, whisk milk mixture to egg mixture.  Beat egg whites till stiff and fold in the egg and milk mixture.  Spoon mixture into an oven proof dish.  Bake for 30 mins until golden brown on top and mixture in setting.  Let the pudding cool down for at least 10 mins and serve with strawberry/fig or jam of your choice.

ENJOY!!!
